Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking is an ideal activity for a challenge – whatever your level of fitness.
What is Nordic Walking?
Nordic Walking is an enhanced walking experience that uses poles to work the upper body as well as the legs. The result is a highly effective all over workout that doesn’t feel like one! Nordic Walking is a solo or group activity that can be done in town or country throughout the year. See it in action.
Why is it better than ordinary walking?
Nordic Walking burns 20-40% more calories than ordinary walking at the same speed. It feels easier than ordinary walking because the arm, back and stomach muscles helping you move forward and also your weight is spread over two legs and two poles. It’s like having four-wheel drive! Planting the poles into the ground is also a great stress reliever after a hard day at work. Click here to find out more.
